The 17^th International Conference on Chiroptical Spectroscopy – CD2019 will gather the world leading experts in the field of chiroptical spectroscopies and will give experienced scientists, young researchers, and everyday users of chiroptical spectroscopies, the chance to present and discuss the newest results on cutting-edge experimental, theoretical and instrumental aspects. Special attention will be devoted to young scientist presentations and posters.
The series of International Conferences on Circular Dichroism, lately renamed International Conferences on Chiroptical Spectroscopy, started in 1985 and since then has been held every second year in Europe, United States, and Japan. Pisa previously hosted the 6^th edition of CD conference in 1997.
Chiroptical spectroscopies have experienced a steady growth in number and variety of publications and this series of Conferences has at the same time followed and anticipated the most relevant innovations. CD2019 aims to keep broadening the scope, while reinforcing cross-linking between different branches. According to this view, there is a long list of topics, which should be regarded as suggestive more than exhaustive.
The local organizing committee looks forward to welcoming you in Pisa in June 2019. The conference dates will overlap with the last days of “Giugno Pisano” (June in Pisa), a yearly historical celebration with plenty of events, plays, concerts and exhibitions, including the world famous Luminara of St. Ranieri on June 16^th.
